A blend of polycarbonate (PC) and polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) blends or blends of polycarbonate (PC) and Polyterephthalate (PET) blends produced by our company, PC/PBT is a blend of PC and PBT, usually in the shape of a blend after blending. If we simply mix the two materials directly after injection, the effect will be very poor, and there will be stratification. PC / PBT has the comprehensive properties of PC and PBT, such as high toughness and geometric stability of PC, chemical stability, thermal stability and lubrication properties of PBT.

The advantage of PC is that the room temperature is rigid and tough, but the thermal deformation is serious under high temperature. The disadvantage is that the stress cracking and the viscosity are large; the advantage of PBT is that its rigidity is not affected by the temperature, and the deformation is small. The blending material, PC-PBT, has retained the advantages of both.

PC-PBT has high surface hardness, high rigidity and toughness, high resistance to high temperature, and high resistance to stress cracking. Its mechanical properties are between the two.

The application feature of automotive exterior parts is to replace steel with plastic and reduce vehicle weight. Automobile accessories include front and rear bumpers, hood, radiator grille, fender, car door handle, rear guide plate, body decoration strip, etc. In addition to the function of interior decoration, exterior decoration also requires high strength, high toughness, environmental resistance and impact resistance. Polyester (PBT) and polyester / polycarbonate alloy (PBT/PC), especially the elastomer toughened PBT/PC and PET/PC alloys are ideal materials for the manufacture of automotive exterior accessories, which are suitable for making automotive body panels, side panels, fenders, and door frames.

The automotive exterior materials not only have high weatherability, high heat resistance, but also have high surface gloss and high surface hardness, which can meet the requirements of the mechanical and weatherproof properties of the major host plants. The external decoration materials are mainly used in the outer triangular block, the column plate, the rearview mirror, the heat dissipation grille, the electroplating door handle, the plating ornament, the luggage bracket, the license plate and the hub cover, which have high appearance and weatherability.

PC + PBT is a kind of plastic alloy. It maintains the chemical resistance of crystalline PBT and its easy forming characteristics. It also has the toughness and dimensional stability of non-crystalline PC. Gear boxes, automobile bumpers and products requiring chemical and corrosion resistance, thermal stability, impact resistance and geometric stability.
